Interior Wood Coatings
Setaqua 6785
High performance self-cross linking acrylic dispersion for clear and pigmented topcoats. Offers very good resistance properties. Can be used together with the Setaqua 6376 pigment dispersion resin to achieve excellent coffee-stain resistance while maintaining alcohol resistance. Drying speed and hardness development can be accelerated by adding 10 – 20 % of the Setaqua 6301 modifying dispersion.
Setaqua 6406
Very fast drying thermoplastic acrylic dispersion for primers and door-skins. Can be used on high productivity wood coating lines. Use in topcoats that don’t require high levels of chemical resistance is also possible.
Setaqua 6376
Pigment dispersion resin that can be used with Setaqua 6750, 6756 and 6785 to improve water- and chemical resistance properties, in particular coffee-stain resistance. As the polymer particles improve the spacing of the titanium dioxide particles good hiding can be achieved with lower levels of pigment. Also has a positive influence on color acceptance, flow and open time.
Setaqua 6301
Specialty dispersion that can be used as a modifier to improve drying speed / hardness build-up in both clear and pigmented interior wood coatings. Excellent compatibility with binders such as Setaqua 6785 or 6756. For woodcoatings that are force-dried it is possible to obtain 70-80 % of the final hardness only one hour after curing.
Exterior Wood Coatings
Setaqua 6784
High performance self-cross linking acrylic dispersion for clear and pigmented topcoats, in particular on hardwood. Highly durable, block resistant but yet flexible. Superb dirt pick-up resistance. Has excellent response to associative thickeners and can be formulated in topcoats for airless application at high layer thickness. MFT ± 10 °C.
Setaqua 6786
High performance self-cross linking acrylic dispersion for clear and pigmented topcoats. High build airless application (up to 500 micron wet). Excellent sagging resistance. MFT ± 8 °C. Particularly suited for joinery that uses soft wood.
Setaqua 6790
High performance self-cross linking acrylic dispersion for clear and pigmented topcoats. The low MFFT (< 5 °C) ensures that ambient temperature curing using low amounts of coalescing solvents can be achieved. Setaqua 6790 is a highly durable universal joinery binder with good blocking resistance. The binder is fully compatible with Setaqua 6784, so blend can be used to achieve the best balance of properties for a given application. Particularly suited for joinery that uses soft wood.
Setaqua 6302
Pigment dispersing resin, similar in performance to Setaqua 6376 but for use in exterior applications where better flexibility is required.
Setaqua 8555
Epoxy-functional acrylic dispersion (cross-linker for Setaqua 8455) for use in two pack tannin and knot bleeding primers (the innovative “L-QUAT” primer system). Isocyanate-free system. Can be used on soft and hard woods with excellent locking of tannin and tree resin.
